Need I say more? I love this brand. If plastic toys have to be a necessity in our lives as parents (which they are - I've come to grips with this), these are the playthings to have around the house. Inspired and quirky color combos (read: saturated olive and navy popped with neon pink and orange), safe materials, well made and just truly fun to play with and look at. And - they give back to children in need (10¢ of every purchase goes to Free the Children). Superlike.

Could art supplies be any more chic? And they're totally natural and healthy for the kids. And they're made by a really great lady named Diana in Boulder CO. Diana is an art teacher and runs Clementine Studio (an art space for kids). Passionate about art and about kids creating art, she made this full line of  "simple, wholesome, clean art supplies with all the ingredients they need, and none they don't" with her own two creatively inspired hands. Goodbye Crayola. Thanks for the memories.

Modern Fun Happy.

I'm kind of crushing on Japan these days. Yuko Uemura's shop Pata Pri makes you feel like you've been invited over for tea and a snuggle. She hand prints all of her wares (mostly kitchen towels, and some amazing, cozy, quadruple-gauze baby blankets), and fancies 100% cotton and scrumptious linen. The prints, the colors, the vintage washed quality all make my heart skip a few beats.

I can't tell whether I'm overjoyed when I find companies like this or totally bitter that I'm not Japanese. Maybe a little sprinkling of both. Truck Furniture makes - wait for it - amazing custom furniture, yes. But they also sell some bitchin zakka, a few hand crafted toys and select pieces from some of my most favorite Japanese kids' lines. They're just really effortlessly good.
