Dude, That's Swede.

Along with my heart throb crush on the Japanese, I also have a serious love for the Swedes. Camilla Engman, Swedish artist and dog lover, makes really nice things. Her illustrations and paintings have been used by the likes of Converse and The New York Times, but she also continues to do amazing little limited edition things like her book about her dog Morran and hand printed & embroidered tea towels. Her style is sweet and innocent. But at a closer look, her characters tend to have a depth, a drop of melancholy that adds to the emotive draw of her work. Honestly, I just like her. She's good.

Jonathan Adler Roars. (Happy 9 Month Birthday, Z!)

Zeph is 9 months young today and motoring everywhere through the house. Thought I'd post an homage to my little roaring lion with some of Jonathan Adler's amazingly bitchin work.

Modern Fun Happy.

I'm kind of crushing on Japan these days. Yuko Uemura's shop Pata Pri makes you feel like you've been invited over for tea and a snuggle. She hand prints all of her wares (mostly kitchen towels, and some amazing, cozy, quadruple-gauze baby blankets), and fancies 100% cotton and scrumptious linen. The prints, the colors, the vintage washed quality all make my heart skip a few beats.

Thankful Every Day (but especially today).

Happiest Thanksgiving, friends. Without gratitude and love we are nothing. Here's to a life of appreciation and to eating and drinking around the same table with the ones we love. And Happy first Thanksgiving, Zeph. For you I would move mountains. Ever thankful. (prints: Keep Calm Gallery)

Can you say right up my alley? Just came across these prints from Paper Jam Press and had to pinch myself. We will be framing a few of these for Zeph's room immediately.

I'm not trying to milk Binth for posts (see previous post), I swear. I just really like their stuff and thought you might too. Above is just a random assortment of some of their great prints and cards. Beauty.

Final-ly. I've been on the hunt for a good baby book for like 9 months, and here we are. Thank you, Binth, for not making an overly designed, lame option. (And thank you, Tante Fonty for leading me to it.) This is sweet, simple and has all the right little categories - with room for your interpretation. Plus it comes in a substantial box that makes it feel like the special keepsake that it is. PLUS you've got two different, non-cliché colors to choose from (chocolate brown or grass green).
