They just don't make them like they used to. My Nana had one of these bad boys and it was my favorite thing to play with at her house. Faded, chipped, highly detailed paint, solid wood - aged and smooth, real horse hair (a little creepy, but at least goes to authenticity)... a far cry from the plastic bunk being slung at Babies R Us these days. Here... an homage. Rock, you little vintage wooden ponies you... rock your creaky hearts out.

Let's get positive, positive ... I wanna get positive.

Original 'Positive Attitude' posters by The Economic Press circa 1968. Being the Type A gal that I am (the best type there is), I eat up every wise verbal morsel in each of these little goodies. (You can find these at 3P4).

Three Potato Four.

Graphic Designers, Janet Morales and Stu Eli, both grew up collecting things. Then they collected each other (aka got hitched). Then they started Three Potato Four online, and opened a brick and mortar location in their hometown of Philly. An amazing mix of old and new come together here and it's love all around. It's evident that their own little potatoes, Holly and Otis, provide lovely inspiration for their perfect KIDS section. We are huge fans.

Whoa Sister.

If talent had a name, it would be Corita. Sister Corita Kent's (Los Angeles nun in the 60s, printmaker, teacher, bleeding heart revolutionary) work has seen quite a resurgence in recent years. Her color palettes and type play have served as a boatload of inspiration for me, so I thought to pay her homage in our son's room with a couple of her prints. Much of her work is so playful, bright and just plain rad to look at. Above are some of my faves.

With the crazygood design on these vintage trikes, why ever buy new? The little tyke will look so fresh pedaling his heart out on one of these gems.

Bootylicious.

I'm loving felt these days. I guess felt never really went un-loved in my world, just forgotten perhaps? But now that it's Fall, it just feels like everything should be felt. Including your babe's booties. LaLa! Shoes are 100% soft wool felt and 110% supercutiepie. Designed with care and love in Croatia by one very multi-faceted, talented lady named Daria, these little gems are also biodegradable, lightweight, temperature-regulating and created from renewable raw material. Do they come in my size??

Just picked up a vintage tiny industrial school desk for Zephyr's room. I envision him sitting contentedly as he thoughtfully crafts an amazing drawing or solves a difficult math problem... or rams it with his dump trucks and uses it as a fort. (Desks via Etsy).
